PALE PINK ROOMBOX |
I made an open roombox of those parts I got from the joinery. I will
be adding more photos to this page as I work on it. So far, I'm calling it a pale
pink roombox as I've used wallpaper with different shades of pale pink (not usually
a colour I would choose, but I happened to buy a roll of such wallpaper, so...) |
Before gluing the parts together..
Wallpaper and floorboards (balsa wood) added..

As you can see in the pictures, the original joinery leftovers do not match
each other exactly, and I don't have the tools to trim them to perfection, but once I'm done
with this roombox, you shouldn't be able to notice! |
After painting the floorboards and sides white.
Looking odd now, but wait 'til you see the rest..
Gluing the first side of the shelves..
And the other side..
Shelf not painted yet..
Hmmm, should I make a toy shop...
Making a shop counter (so, it'll be a shop..)
Still unfinished, but I've added a "glass" on the counter front. It's really clear
plastic from a ham package!
I painted the shelf with nail polish, which I think goes really well with the
wallpaper. (Ignore the plants, they're just temporarily in the roombox..)
Hmmm, that purple comes out really COLD in the pictures! It's not that obvious
normally.
Close-up, to show the colour..
I painted two nailpolish coats to tone down the darker purple, which looked so
wild in the photos. This one doesn't look itself in the picture, either, but at least
it doesn't steal the whole picture.
With the shelf and a plant..
With the counter (now almost finished)
Close-up of the counter. There's a clear plastic "glass" in the front, but you can't
see in the picture - I'll try to take a picture with a reflection someday soon.
Just to display something in there, until finished..
