Two-bottle wine carrier!

There won't be room for much in there..

I want stained glass windows..

What I'm planning to do:

I got this cardboard carrier from Finland (2000), and I've been planning to make a little chapel of it ever since! I plan to cover it with pebbles (real or fake!), to make it look like it has stone walls. There's not much room inside, so I will probably make white walls, and I am hoping to make (real or fake) stained glass windows. Obviously, either the windows or the door (or both) will have to open, so you can see what's inside.. I have some plans for it already, but nothing definite yet. It will probably be very simple, maybe a small altar with a Bible, and one of my mini crucifixes. Then again, I would kind of like to make a priest doll.

SOME OF MY RIBBONS:

The ones that give me ideas..

I don't have that many ribbons, but I've saved everything from Christmas pressies (my mam likes to wrap pressies using lovely ribbons, which is nice!), and I've also gotten a few from my mam, just to use on minis. The ribbons in the above picture give me ideas.. The first one and the third one would look lovely in miniature kitchens or maybe even bathrooms, and the last one is extremely shiny (looks like gold), so it would go with something luxurious, like a cosmetics counter - which would go with the tiny perfume bottles I've made of beads.. But the second one's my favourite: it doesn't really show that well in the photo, but the middle part of that ribbon is Perfect for tiny tights and/or stockings! But rather than trying to make actual tights of it, I'll probably make either a shop or a woman's bedroom, with a few unopened packages of tights. *I know, cheap fun*

MY IDEA FOR TWO TINY DISPLAY COUNTERS:

Cotton bud container sawed in half...

Two counters for a tiny shop!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Take a clear plastic box (like this cotton bud container I used), and saw it in half using a small hacksaw. If you don't trust your eye, start by drawing a line that will guide you when sawing. And a very important reminder: PROTECT YOUR EYES!!! I didn't, so I ended up getting plastic dust in my left eye, and it was extremely swollen, red and sore for hours.

You need to hold the box quite firmly when sawing, or it might snap. Once you have your counter bits, you can sand the edges to make them neater. Then it's up to you what you want to do with them, add wooden or metal edges, possible display shelf and trays, cover the top if you like, add sale posters, etc.. At the moment, I haven't finished my counters, but I will add pictures when I have.
