Your dolls can now have their own working TV set, in 1:12 scale! You can even order it with a custom brand name, such as your own name, if you like.. The company is in England. Their site (linked above) didn’t have that many photos, but I’ve posted links to related articles, on Bray Forum, and you can see more photos in all those articles. I really want a mini TV!!

Nukkesi voivat nyt katsoa omaa toimivaa telkkariaan, 1:12-skaalassa! Voit jopa tilata sen minka merkkisena tahansa, vaikka omalla nimellasi varustettuna, jos huvittaa.. Putiikki sijaitsee Englannissa. Heidan saitillaan (linkki ylla, saitti englanniksi) ei ollut kovin montaa valokuvaa, mutta olen linkannut asiaa koskevia artikkeleita Bray Forumilta (englanniksi), ja artikkeleissa nakyy enemman kuvia. Pakko saada minitelkkari!!

 BIG

Nope, I haven’t been travelling (unfortunately), but one of my Finnish net friends, Pasi Sundqvist has, and he took all these Hong Kong photos - I am posting them here with his permission. The location was Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre lobby, and the photos were taken last week (the first week of April ‘08). I don’t know if it was just a temporary display, or whether they might always display miniatures. After each photo, there’s a link that says “BIG”. I recommend checking out the huge versions of these pictures, to see the gorgeous details - the file size is about 1,5-1,8Mb per photo. If your connection is slow, you might want to check out the forum size photos instead - click here for them. They are bigger than what you see here in the blog, but only about 80Kb per photo.

Ei, en ole käynyt matkoilla (valitettavasti), mutta nettituttuni Pasi Sundqvist on, ja hän otti kaikki nämä Hong Kongin kuvat - postitan ne täällä hänen luvallaan. Sijainti oli Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre’n aula, ja kuvat on otettu viime viikolla (huhtikuun ‘08 ensimmäinen viikko). En tiedä, oliko kyseessä vain väliaikainen näyttely, vai onko siellä mahd. aina miniatyyrejä esillä. Jokaisen kuvan perässä on linkki; “BIG”. Suosittelen niiden valtavankokoisten kuvien katsomista, upeiden yksityiskohtien takia - tiedostokoko on n. 1,5-1,8Mb per kuva. Jos yhteytesi on hitaanpuoleinen, haluat ehkä mielummin katsoa forumilla olevat versiot - klikkaa tästä ne esille. Ne ovat isompia kuin nämä blogikuvat, mutta vain n. 80Kb per kuva.

We were in Dublin on Friday, and walked past the Dolls Hospital. I didn’t go in as we needed to do other shopping, but I snapped a few phone cam pictures of their window display, with plenty of dollhouses! Olimme perjantaina Dublinissa, ja kävelimme Dolls Hospital “nukkesairaalan” ohi. En mennyt kauppaan sisälle, kun piti tehdä muita ostoksia, mutta otin puhelinkameralla muutamia kuvia ikkunoista, joissa oli monta nukkekotia! We got a new printer / scanner / copier for Christmas, so I got into minis again.. I saved a ‘dollhouse for a dollhouse‘ from Jim’s Printables, but I didn’t like its colours, so I wanted to customise it to my liking, before printing it out. I changed the colours and replaced the windows with pale blue. I actually meant to cut out the windows and replace them with clear plastic sheets for more realistic windows, but the attic (=my craft space) was so freezing that I decided to make a better version someday later, and just glued the house together as quickly as possible. I managed to make one really wonky wall, with my icicle fingers, and I didn’t make a pocket on the downstairs floor, for the lower folds of the mid-wall (like I did on the upstairs floor). Next time, I’m probably going to glue the prints on some thin card first, because the glue made the thin paper all wonky, although I was using a good quality paper glue stick.
